Emilio Hernandez is an emerging architectural designer with a bold vision for sustainability, functionality, and biodiversity in the built environment. Currently studying architecture, Emilio is deeply passionate about contemporary design that prioritizes both human needs and ecological integrity. His work is grounded in the belief that architecture must evolve to serve a more practical, environmentally responsible future, one that supports the coexistence of people and other living species.
Through his work with Livable Communities Initiative, a nonprofit focused on revitalizing underserved areas across Greater Los Angeles, Emilio has helped draft innovative plans for housing, infrastructure, and community spaces. He has also worked on projects that extend far beyond Los Angeles and are influencing livability efforts in cities across the world such Newport Beach, Indianapolis, Paris, Singapore, etc.
Emilio has studied sustainable architecture and environmental systems in Southeast Asia, gaining hands-on experience in regions confronting rapid urbanization and climate challenges. His global perspective has been shaped by attending international design and development conferences, where he’s contributed to conversations on urban resilience, green infrastructure, and climate-adaptive architecture.
Blending creative vision with a commitment to sustainability, Emilio is building a career defined by design that not only looks good, but does good.
