SKETCHES

There has always been a fascination with the development and meticulous details of creating with simply a ballpoint pen. Some if not most of my sketches are generated using a ballpoint pen to embrace the concept of trusting the process. I attempted to utilize a pen to see how far I could push the ink of the basic ballpoint pen and overall, experiment with the abilities which ink holds. There is so much potential in every medium of art and I find that to be true in the utensils which we use to bring our visions to fruition. I have always been encapsulated by all the modalities of graphite. When I sketch with graphite, I feel a direct connection to my ideas, translating them onto paper with precision and the potential for correction. In my works, I rely on graphite's capacity for intricate detail and delicate shading, capturing the variations of light and texture. Yet, when I shift to more abstract styles, graphite adapts effortlessly, allowing me to play with bold lines and dynamic contrasts. This adaptability also extends to my architectural sketches. At the same time, it allows me to explore modern architectural forms, emphasizing clean lines and minimalistic designs.
